Just a couple hours after I posted the info about our “Turn Back The Clock Night” The Rockies made me look foolish. It just so turns out that we will actually be wearing our 1993 grey uniform at home for the first time ever while the Mets will be wearing their ‘93 home. Very odd situation indeed.

I got a little bit more info via UniWatch.
The Rockies and Mets are throwing back to 1993. So this is what the game will look like.

I assume we will wear black because the white ones are just our current homes with no names on the back. But we need to keep in mind that the black uniform was only worn two times before it was canned. I’ll be there rocking the stirrups as usual.
LONG LIVE THE STIRRUP!
The Rockies just confirmed via their facebook page that they will indeed be wearing throwback uniforms on April 16th vs. the Mets! This will be the first time in team history that the team will wear a throwback uniform. I am assuming that they will throwback to a previous Denver baseball team, but I’m also prepared to see them wear the 1993 set which is almost 100% identical to the current home.

Either way I’ll be there rocking my stirrups and the sign!
LONG LIVE THE STIRRUP!

Looks like those green hats made the field. They looked alright I suppose. But you know what I really would have liked to see? That’s right, green stirrups!
LONG LIVE THE STIRRUP!

The Rockies announced via their facebook page today that their green St. Patrick’s day hats have arrived. I wonder if they will actually wear them next week. They have never been part of the green hat trend in the past, I wonder if they are just a marketing gimmick.
But regardless…
LONG LIVE THE STIRRUP!
